At What’s On 4 Kids believe magic happens when a child finds joy in an activity. We love encouraging Australian families to get outside and be active, explore their community and live happy and healthy lives.
We come to work every day because we know there are thousands of Australian kids activity and party provider businesses running classes, events, shows and school holiday activities every day; they are brilliant at what they do. We are committed to helping these businesses grow sustainable businesses that they love, so they’re able to then share their expertise and passion with your kids. We do this through our What’s On 4 Kids Awards, What’s On 4 Kids Conference and through our free to join our online Facebook community group.
Our Story
What We Were
We began back in 2011 as a start-up with an ambitious three websites www.whatson4littleones.com.au, www.whatson4schoolkids.com.au, www.whatson4kidsparties.com.au and under the guidance of our founder What’s On 4 in the United Kingdom. We grew quickly and became one of Australia’s most well-known kids activity directory and highly influential platforms across the nation, with hundreds of thousands of visitors each month.
What Happened Next
We became such a reliable ‘go-to’ place for our fast-growing audience and we soon discovered that in the forever-changing area of digital platforms, we needed to be continuously evolving and become forward thinkers and innovators in our industry. In 2017 with the support of our online parent community, we had the confidence to start our own adventure, and we branched away from the UK. We are now fully owned and operated in Australia.
Then What Happened
We want to make finding kids activities easy and fun; so we have developed a brand new website that enables you to the information you want quickly. We’ve added reviews to help make your decision and created a blog packed full of ideas, education and inspiration.
We have developed our digital options through creative and innovative campaigns for thousands of Australian businesses in the kid’s activity and party industry as well as for brands and parent-focused businesses and have recently launched our new sister website What’s On 4 Travel, a destination for family travel and grown-up getaways.
What’s Happening Now
Today, What’s On 4 Kids is owned and operated by Amy Sales.
Amy comes from a background in Childcare Management and Live Entertainment. Amy specialises in small business growth and development, team management and community events.
One thing that hasn’t changed with us from the beginning is our core values. We are still ‘wholesome’ with family values – we pride ourselves on putting our families needs first always; by promoting content and businesses that we know our audience will love.
Meet the Owner
Amy comes from a background in Childcare Management and Live Entertainment, where she continues to perform regularly for her own company Glass Slipper Entertainment in Perth. Amy specialises in small business growth and development, team management and community events using her experience in management to help guide and mentor business owners while also creating unique community events.
Amy has spoken on many panels as an industry leader; most recently for the Australian Children’s Activities Association (ACAA) symposium with Jules Brooke and her entertainment business won the 2019 National What’s On 4 Kids Award for Best Kids Party Entertainer.
Meet the Founder
Elise Easdown, is the founder and CEO of What’s On 4 Kids and comes from a background of child development, in particular paediatric Occupational Therapy, where she continues to practice as a senior clinical leader.
Elise is a multi-award winning business owner who also specialises in coaching on digital marketing, business growth and development, marketing and team management & wellbeing. Elise is also the co-founder of the Australian Children’s Activities Association and can be contacted at [email protected].
