Waterfront Park located in the Darwin Waterfront Precinct is a fun rope playground designed for kids aged 2-8 years. The rope playground includes a slide, a rope course, tunnels, a mini climbing wall, a pod swing and a balance trail. The rope games are mounted on undulating shapes; children can slide, climb, crawl and swing their way around the play equipment and experience the feeling of braving the waters of a rough sea.
It is the perfect playground for young children, with little parental help needed and lots to explore. (Just beware that it is located close to the Waterfront Recreation Lagoon and is unfenced.
The playground is partly shaded with a roof structure. There are plenty of shady trees surrounding the play area which area prefect for a picnic or you can choose from a range of nearby restaurants and cafes. It is close to other precinct attractions such as the Recreation Lagoon and Wave Lagoon.
